Please note that information from walks where no evidence of Mountain Hares was seen is just as valuable as information from walks where Mountain Hares or their signs were encountered!
Your records will contribute to the Volunteer Mountain Hare Survey, a partnership initiative to improve the information available on distribution, abundance and population change of Mountain Hares in Scotland. This information will be used to improve decisions about the conservation and management of this species.
