Notes
****It is strongly suggested that all students in a performing ensemble course, particularly beginning instrumentalists, participate in the after-school Encore music lesson program. Encore has immensely talented teachers from in and around Boston who conveniently give lessons in our school buildings after school hours. Students benefit from participating in this through one on one instruction, which is not possible in the group ensemble setting provided during school. Private teachers are also better able to prepare students for district auditions and provide personalized music selections in order to increase student's motivation to practice.

We have a variety of companies that regularly work with our school system to provide rental instruments and repairs. Students would need to rent or buy and instrument in order to participate. Canton has a handful of school owned instruments to loan to families that may require some financial assistance. Please contact the directors to discuss your needs.
