Role Model And Networking Volunteers - SET Conference 2022
Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a Role Model for WISEST SET Conference 2022! WISEST programs are successful because of the numerous volunteers who support us by encouraging young women and gender diverse students to consider underrepresented careers in the STEM fields.

What is the SET Conference:
The SET Conference is a one day, on-campus Conference for high school girls and gender diverse students in grades 10-12. The Conference allows the students to take part in hands-on activities, workshops, group discussions with Role Models and network with people in STEM fields.

What do Role Models and Networking volunteers do:
Role Model And Networking volunteers lead discussions with groups of students. The goal of the group discussions is that role models will share their educational and career experiences with our students, providing an excellent opportunity for the students to ask questions and to learn more about careers in STEM. It's a chance for role models to have a positive influence on these bright young students! The Role Model and Networking volunteers also have the chance to meet with the students that were not in their group discussions and share more about their career and projects they have been working on!

Who should volunteers as a Role Model:
Individuals working in science, engineering, or technology fields or pursuing graduate or PhD studies in STEM. We are also inviting past SRP students to share their experience in the SRP program.
