Pop Corner is a North Platte favorite that is more than just Popcorn. We offer a creative menu with daily and seasonal specials. We may have a small kitchen but we do big things! Sandwich/Salad Maker

As a sandwich or salad maker you are responsible for producing all of our menu items with skill and efficiency. Our sandwiches and salads are super popular and must be made the same way every time. You must be able to follow directions and work as a team so every ticket comes up in a timely manner.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • preparing each menu item according to our standard build orders with speed and efficiency 
  • some prep such as slicing and portioning meats and vegetables 
  • preparing our fresh sauces and toppings
  • maintaining a clean station and sanitize equipment
  • monitor food stock
  • help prepare catering orders

Requirements and skills

  • Work experience as a cook or similar role in a restaurant
  • Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment
  • Understanding of food hygiene
  • Good time management skills
  • Need to be a team player
  • Must be a quick learner
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings
  • Need to enjoy the ebb and flow of a restaurant, when it's busy it can be intense

Prep

Prep - Part Time

As a Prep employee, you are responsible for keeping up with prepping, slicing and portioning meats and veggies as well as sauces, soups and sides.

Popcorn Production/Prep

Popcorn Production/Prep - Part Time


As a popcorn production assistant/prep, you will be responsible for the production of popcorn, popcorn treats, assisting the Production Lead in making all of our various flavors of popcorn as well as popcorn balls and squares! 

As a Prep employee, you will assist with prepping, slicing and portioning meats and veggies as well as sauces, soups and sides.

Cashier
Cashier - Part Time

As a Cashier you will operate a cash register, communicate with customers, and assist other Pop Corner staff as needed. Responsibilities include processing credit card payments, accepting cash payments and making change, and using a point of sale (POS) system for transactions as well as filling, bagging and stocking popcorn bags and tins. You will greet guests, help resolve customer complaints, and maintain knowledge of the menu and sales policies. Experience in food service or retail is helpful, and basic math, customer service, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities, Requirements and Skills
* Must be a people person
* Must enjoy guiding someone through the menu and ordering process
* Keep dining room swept and tables cleaned and wiped
* Ensure bathrooms are stocked and clean
* Able to speak loudly and clearly
* Understand that if it is slow, other tasks will be assigned
* Many times it is very busy and there are a lot of responsibilities to juggle at once
