This certificate course is offered by the Korean association - International Craft Design Research Society (ICDRS) for those who have serious interest in candle making or want to go professional in the candle industry. Our instructor has over 20 years of experience in candle making and with more professional qualifications from:

- Korea Candle Craft Association (KCCA)
- Korea Natural Design Association (KNDA)
- Korean Hastable Master Class (Hastable)
- CLAB Craft & Design Lab (CLAB)
- Japan Candle Association (JCA)

This Food Styling Design Candle Certificate focused on food and bakery candle design. This course is divided into two themes (ie. two different certificates) -

1. Bakery Candle (bread & pastry): In the bakery section, student will learn how to make bakery candles in a variety of bread/pastry textures.
2. Food Decoration: student will learn realistic and exquisite food decoration production techniques with special wax recipe.

Bakery Candle Certificate (6 bakery items + 2 icing/cream):
1. Cheesecake
2. Brownies
3. Muffin
4. Wheat Bread
5. Egg Tart
6. Puff
7. Pipping Cream
8. Icing Sugar

Food Decoration Certificate:
1. Decorative Fruits/Vegetables
2. Pizza or Hamburger
3. Takoyaki Octopus Balls
4. Dumplings
5. Salmon
6. Takoyaki Sauces
7. Butter/Sour Cream

Each certificate require 1 day (approximately 7 hours) to complete over zoom class, total 2 days if student decided to enroll both certificates. Student is allowed to choose either or both certificate courses. After the zoom classes, student is required to submit his/her candle photos (the final products). Then we will submit the student's photos to the association for certificate application.

We can schedule any 1 or 2 days and starting time with the student.

What is the value of this certificate course? Apart from learning different bakery texture techniques and special recipes, student is allowed to sell the candle products, and also run this certificate course on their own, which allow them to apply ICDRS certificates for their future students (face to face or zoom lessons).

Tools & Materials: Since this is zoom lessons, tools and materials will not be included in the tuition fee. However, we will provide three options for students to prepare before class.
Option1: we list out all the tools, wax materials, wicks, dyes, etc. and student purchase from his/her suppliers (we will also provide candle suppliers if needed).
Option2: we purchase and ship all the tools and materials that student cannot find from his/her home town (student will pay for all the material purchase, shipping and import tax if any)
Option3: student will watch and take notes during zoom classes, and decide what materials to purchase after lessons and make the candles later on his/her own.

Tuition Fee: Each certificate course is USD$550 (include 1 day zoom classes demonstrated by the instructor, class notes, certificate application and the electronic certificate.)

We are located in Hong Kong, zoom class will be conducted in English, Cantonese or Mandarin.

Note: This course will issue electronic certificate, for paper certificate there will be extra cost.
