Free FIU Walkout for Public Education Committees

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT ORGANIZING:

Mobilize FIU undergraduate students on campus on Thursdays at noon to attend our walkout

GRADUATE STUDENT ORGANIZING:

Reach out to FIU graduate students to get a majority to agree to participate in the walkout using department representative system

FACULTY ORGANIZING:

Reach out to faculty to get a majority to agree to participate in the walkout using department representative system; reach out to instructors who have class from 11:00am-12:15pm on Thursdays to get a majority to agree to support the walkout

SOCIAL MEDIA & MESSAGING:

Make graphics for social media and plan social media posts, make handouts to pass out during tabling and canvassing, design stickers and buttons for distribution, send email messages to supporters to give them information about status of walkout

WALKOUT PLANNING:

Determine walkout route, plan speakers, coordinate sign-making, etc.
