I normally run retreats during the week, since for many of us our writing is also our work. One of my goals is to help academics (and others who must write for work) normalize doing writing work during work hours.
However, weekends can suit writers well for other reasons, and so if there is enough interest I'll look into running the occasional weekend retreat.
