You were minding your business, enjoying your day out in the sun. You had napped in the neighbourhood trees, teased the neighbour’s dog and was chasing butterflies before heading in for your afternoon snack when you got picked up by some humans from the animal shelter. Despite all your vocal assertions that you are not a stray and actually have a home -- thank you very much -- you were taken to Happy Friends Animal Shelter.

After a long day of being poked and prodded by an unnecessarily thorough veterinarian, you were dropped into a kennel furnished with a scratchy blanket, metal dishes of food and water, and a few felt toys shaped like mice. One sniff of the food -- Wholesome Health Bites, yuck! -- and you knew you had to get out and get back home to your human.
