It is the premier data science event for African university students. Every year over a thousand students from across the continent come together in this virtual event to build machine learning and AI solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems. This year’s event promises to be even bigger than last year. We are aiming to have up to 200 universities involved, with participation from universities in South Africa, Zambia,Tanzania, Rwanda, Mauritius, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Ghana, and more. We aim to see up to 2000 students participating on the day.

As a sponsor of UmojaHack Africa 2022, you will be supporting the next generation of tech and AI leaders in Africa. This hackathon will benefit 2000 African university students directly, plus 1000s of other young data scientists indirectly through the broader university and Zindi communities. By being a part of this landmark event, your company will also gain valuable recognition and unprecedented access to this pool of African talent.
