Teen Animation Basics Class — Thursdays, July 14 and 21 / August 4, 11 and 16, 4:30-6:30 p.m., ages 13-18, Teen Room.
Interested in how to get started as an animator? Want to learn the secrets of how your favorite cartoons come to life? Join Library Volunteers Lexi Rodriguez and Izabel Garcillano as they show you the basic skills to be an animator, from making model sheets of your own characters to creating storyboards! This program is most beneficial to participants who can attend every week.

Week 1 (July 14)
Draw yourself in different styles and learn about how this medium came to be the form of entertainment we know and love today!

Week 2 (July 21)
Make a model sheet for your own character and learn about the importance of good character design!

Week 3 (August 4)
What is storyboarding? How do you do it? Come find out!

Week 4 (August 11)
Pair up and make a mini stop-motion film!

Week 5 (August 18)
Show off your stop-motion film and chill out with some animated short films. Celebrate your hard work with Kahoot and win prizes!
