The Outstanding Educator Award was created by the PTA to recognize individuals who have gone beyond the normal expectations of their job to make outstanding contributions to enhance the education of children. An Outstanding Educator can be a teacher, specialist, assistant, support staff, custodian, bus driver, administrator or community member. Although not required, we do encourage all nominees be current PTA members.

Each Outstanding Educator Award recipient is given the Golden Apple award pin. In addition, our PTA Council contributes $70 in the recipients’ name to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Foundation, to help underprivileged students pursue a post-secondary education.

We would like you to participate in the selection of our award recipient(s) through your recommendations. Our Outstanding Educator Award committee will make the final selection.
