Exploration of Acting –Mondays 7 – 9pm, October 21 – December 9, $200 For students of all abilities. This acting class explores the fundamentals of working with a contemporary script – text analysis, character development, physical presence, vocal and speech coaching and preparing for performance. If you are interested in getting back into performance, staying in shape artistically, or trying your hand at live performance, this is a great class for you.

Scene Study for the Professional Actor – (Audition only) Mondays 7 – 9pm, January 27 – March 16, $200This class focuses on student or working actors, college level and above. These are performers who have taken other acting courses and performed in plays, and who hope to work/are working with some frequency in the field – although not necessarily solely as performers. You should already have the ability to perform basic text analysis and be familiar with the idea of scene “beats”, objectives, obstacles, and with making strong and committed choices for your character. Actors will showcase their work for the community at the end of the course.

If you must be tardy or absent, you MUST contact your teacher directly, in advance.-Bring your notebooks to class.-Write or generate material outside of class time.-Dress in clothing that allows a full range of movement.-Limit your cell phone use to writing and research in class, and on breaks.-Keep the Green Room free from noise; use the Loft or Patio for breaks and before or after class.-Challenge yourself to be yourself, and do your best. *
