Learning Communities for Policing Alternatives Interest Form

Applications are now open and sessions begin in November 2023.

The Center for Policing Equity (CPE) is a racial justice non-profit that empowers advocates, community groups, service providers, and municipal officials nationwide to redesign their public safety systems.

CPE and The Council for State Governments (CSG) Justice Center are hosting a joint series of Learning Communities for Policing Alternatives designed to support stakeholders working to establish more equitable public safety systems. These learning communities are structured to assist interdisciplinary teams seeking to implement alternatives to policing, and each centers on on a different area of public safety: College Campus Community Response, Community Response & Crisis Systems, Community Violence Intervention, and Youth Diversion.

The community-led efforts emerging from CPE and CSG Justice Center’s Learning Communities for Policing Alternatives parallel the alternative policing strategies developed by the Elected Leaders Council, which brings together state and local elected officials nationwide to develop strategies to enact and sustain reforms, fund initiatives, and receive support, including help identifying validators to help support initiatives in their communities.

Please fill out this form if you are a community stakeholder working to stand up policing alternatives in your area and are interested in joining a future learning community cohort.

Please Note: Submission of this interest form is not confirmation of participation in a future learning community cohort. CPE will follow up with all interested participants following the completion of this form.
