Challenges in seeking justice for incidents of "revenge porn" in India (For Survivors)
Please read these instructions before filling in the survey. PLEASE NOTE THIS SURVEY IS FOR SELF-IDENTIFYING SURVIVORS/VICTIMS OF "REVENGE PORN" IN INDIA ONLY. If you have come across cases in another capacity please fill out this form: https://bit.ly/30Ns4tP. If you would prefer to share your experiences in a different language or medium (such as a telephone conversation), please email hello@endcyberabuse.org.

1. This survey aims to understand the experiences of survivors of gender based violence in online spaces (from any devices: smartphones, desktop computers, tablets, etc.) and what difficulties they face accessing justice.

2. All responses are anonymous, confidential and for research purposes only. We ask about age, gender, sexual orientation and other demographics so that we know the profile of people who complete the survey. All information will be published only as consolidated and aggregated findings, no personally identifiable data will be shared without express and informed permission.

3. The survey will take approximately 35-40 minutes to complete. Most questions are closed-ended. Please, don't forget to click the button "Submit" when you finish the survey.

4. In order to obtain more reliable results, we ask you to please answer all questions. However, if any question makes you feel uncomfortable, you may skip it and go on to the next question. You can also stop answering questions and leave the page at any time.

5. For the purposes of this survey, image-based sexual abuse is used synonymously with revenge porn and is defined as "sexually explicit images or videos that are publicly shared online, without the consent of the pictured individual". Through this study, we are trying to ascertain how courts/prosecutors/police/lawyers in India apply the law in revenge porn cases. The aim of the study is to understand the challenges/gaps and to propose potential solutions.

6. We understand that the term "revenge porn" can minimise the harm done to victims and is not an accurate description of most incidents that occur. We have decided to use the term "revenge porn" in this survey for ease of understanding but seek to hear from you below on how you would label this kind of behaviour.

7. If you want to know more about why we are doing this survey or if you would like to collaborate, please get in touch with hello@endcyberabuse.org.
