The 100 Black Improvisers Partnership - 2022 Student Interest Form
The 100 Black Improvisers Partnership (hereafter referred to as "The Partnership") is a joint project between the Black Improv Alliance and theater owners/corporate sponsors across the world. Our goal is to get 100 Black people to take an improv class (for free!) in 2022. Our primary mission for this program is to expand representation in improv by placing 100 new Black improvisers into Improv 101 classes, but we also offer additional training opportunities for existing Black improvisers.
If you're Black & interested in getting into improv, we're looking for you!
By filling out this form, you agree to have your information shared with our theater partners. They regularly check our database and will reach out to you directly with scholarship offers.
If you are accepted to the program, you are expected to attend all classes at the theater with which you are matched. Attendance at a rate below 75% may result in your removal from the program.
You will also be required to follow all Rules & Codes of Conduct of the theater with which you study.
Basically...just be cool. Treat everyone with respect - and if you aren't sure that you can consistently attend a class, PLEASE do NOT accept a spot until you're sure that you can be there.
Submission of this form does not automatically guarantee admittance to the program. However, we aspire to serve as many people as we can (and last year we had more spaces than we were able to fill!) so if you have not been contacted with a scholarship offer within three months of submission of this form, please reach out to us directly at Scholarships@BlackImprovAlliance.com and we will do our best to get you placed into a class.
While we do offer workshops and programs geared toward all improvisers, this particular program is exclusively for Black people.
