RSAC Educator Sponsor Application: 2022-2023

Thank you for your interest in becoming an Educator Sponsor for the Regional Student Advisory Committee (RSAC). The RSAC is a group of self-determined young people who bring the student voice and perspective to our statewide work for transition planning. Their input will be used to improve resources created by the Student-Centered Transitions Network (SCTN).
To facilitate this committee, we need public school educators to assemble small groups of high school students to discuss and provide feedback on specific topics. The statewide committee should represent the diversity of Texas (cultural, linguistic, and ability). This group will meet 4 times per year (twice each semester), with agendas that vary in length between 1-2 hours. For this school year, groups will be able to connect through online meetings.

Ensure each student completes a Student Participation form prior to the first RSAC meeting

Schedule and facilitate online RSAC meetings 4 times during the school year (2 meetings per semester)

Access meeting materials through online portal and review prior to meeting

Adapt meeting materials to support the specific needs of my students

Collect participant information, meeting minutes, and responses from student RSAC members

Submit meeting results to online portal within 1 week of meeting completion
