Washington, DC's Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ Affairs are proud to present the 35th Annual 17th Street High Heel Race on Tuesday, October 25th, 2022.

The Annual 17th Street High Heel Race is a time to celebrate the diversity of DC’s LGBTQ+ community and join thousands of costumed spectators cheer on costumed drag queens, drag kings and community members as they race down 17th Street NW. Lively and filled with drag entertainment, a parade, and much more, you won’t want to miss this DC tradition!

PARTICIPANT WAIVER

The Mayor’s High Heel Race is free to participants and is run by volunteers. There are no permissions expressed or implied by the event organizers. Participants make use of the facilities at their own risk and without express permission from the event organizers.

Running is a physically active sport. You should always seek advice from your General Physician before taking up a strenuous physical pursuit such as this.

By completing this form you accept that you are entirely responsible to ensure your own fitness and are able to take part in the event at your own risk.

Children are the responsibility of their parents or guardians and need to be accompanied at all times before, during and after the run.

The Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ Affairs, the Executive Office of the Mayor, and its volunteers do not accept responsibility for injury, loss and damage sustained by a participant unless the above injury, loss and damage is proven to have been caused as a direct result of negligence on the part of the organizers.
