ASA GivesBack Group
Through organizing volunteer opportunities for members to get involved and finding creative ways to show the impact of giving back, the ASA GivesBack group is promoting a culture of philanthropy at the ASA, while honing leadership skills. Members of the leadership team, made up of early career statisticians, get the opportunity to hone leadership skills, network with peers and mentors, and foster a community among students and young professionals.
ASA Speakers Bureau
The ASA Speakers Bureau was officially launched in January 2019, specifically for the benefit of student chapters, public school and community groups, smaller local ASA chapters, and geographically isolated groups of statisticians. Especially for the student chapters, hearing from senior or more experienced statisticians can be very impactful as they navigate through the various decisions that face them as they look forward to graduation and entering the work force.
