Parent/guardian completing this form provides permission for student to participate in Generals Rest and acknowledges the following participant requirements
Student rest periods
Students can be excused from their classes on days that they take an AP exam.  This policy excuses juniors and seniors from the designated class period(s) during which their exams take place and also the class period(s) before or after the test on the same day.

Absences will be excused only if parent/guardian completes this form
Students who do not attend classes without parental permission will be marked as unverified and referred to their assigned administrator.
Students are responsible for any work missed during the absence.
There will be no make-ups
Students must take their examinations at the assigned time on the assigned dates.
Proper use of this rest period is each student’s responsibility.
All classes missed will still be in session and students are still responsible for all classwork, homework, and tests/quizzes/projects missed from those classes during AP exams.
Parent/guardian permission
I give permission for my student to participate in the Generals Rest Period.  I understand that my student will be excused from class on the dates the student will be testing.  (See school website for exam calendar.)  By agreeing to these terms, I understand that my student is responsible for meeting the requirements outlined above. Furthermore, I understand that my student is responsible for making up missed work due to the excused absences and that failure to make up the work may negatively affect his/her grade.
