Set-Up / Take-Down (Requires the ability to lift items such as folding tables. Friday morning vendor support does not require lifting.)

Welcome Desk (Greeting guests, answering questions, collecting entrance payments)

Workshop Support (greeting guests, answering questions, collecting payments, clearing workshop areas between events)

Vendor Support (walking the aisles offering to place and collect canteen orders for vendors; bathroom breaks for single vendors; guiding vendors to their table before event)

Merchandise (collecting payments and promoting Festival merchandise; answering questions)

Wool Show (supervising the fleeces on display; answering questions - information provided; assisting the wool judge pre-festival; assisting with final fleece sale if necessary)

Animal Support (assisting with supervision of the animals; pre-festival assistance with setting up requires lifting)

Handspun Yarn competition (gauging interest; this project currently has no supervisor)

Some of our tasks require additional skills such as strength (setting up for the animals Friday morning) and experience (fleece judging support; supervising a handspun yarn competition - details to be provided).
Please note here if you are able to support some of these activities that take place before the Festival doors open.

Thank you for your continued support (or new interest) in supporting the Manitoba Fibre Festival. We cannot host this amazing community event without wonderful volunteers like yourself. I will send out some group emails over the following months as well as details concerning each volunteer roll you have indicated an interest in.

Please note that our Festival coordinators are also volunteers and it may take a few days to respond. In particular, this volunteer coordinator is also an Entertainment Coordinator and performer with one of the Folklorama Pavilions, so I may not be able to respond during Folklorama (August 3-10 I will not be at home to access my computer except to sleep a few hours between Folklorama and work).
