Possible roles: mentors (and/or workshop leaders), panelists, and judges.
Mentors: We need mentors to help the high school women with programming, idea development, and overall guidance throughout the process of them creating projects. Many of the 200+ attendees have had zero or minimal exposure to computer programming before. Mentors can come in for any number of hours on Saturday (March 26).
Panelists: We are holding a women in tech panel of ~5 panelists for the high school women to understand what it is like for a woman to pursue technology and/or to be in the industry. .
Judges: Judges are in charge of evaluating all the projects at the conclusion of the hackathon.
Workshops: We're definitely looking to explore iPhone/Android development, web development, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, UI/UX design, specific APIs, game design, etc. Last year we had workshops on building a personal website, Android App Development, VR and AR, non-traditional paths to tech, intro to machine learning, and more.
