Request a Sphero BOLT kit
Winona Public Library has Sphero BOLT robots available for patrons to check out. Sphero BOLT is an educational robot ball best for ages 8 and up.

Sphero activities are guided with video instructions, so you can teach yourself to program and play with the robot. You will need your own device, such as a smartphone or tablet, to operate the robot.

If you would like to check out a Sphero BOLT kit, fill out the form below, and staff will contact you with further information. You will be responsible for the kit while it is in your care, so we ask that an adult be involved. Checkout time is four weeks with no renewals allowed. Questions? Contact us, and we'll sort it out!

Requirements for your device:
You will need to download the Sphero Edu app to use the Sphero BOLT robot. The robot works with a Bluetooth connection with a paired device, which can be a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. Note that the minimum system requirements for mobile devices are iOS 10+, Android 5+, and Kindle Fire 7 (2019), Fire HD 8 (2015+), or Fire HD 10 (2015+). For laptop apps, minimum requirements are Windows 10, macOS 10.12+, or Chrome OS 50+. For more information, go to support.sphero.com and search for “Sphero EDU Device Compatibility.”
