Student Laborer Team Application for 2022-2023
We're excited you're considering being on the Student Laborer Team next year!

The vision for the WSU Navigators is that Wichita State would become a launching pad for the Gospel. We desire to see mature laborers for the kingdom raised up and sent all over the globe. The Wichita State Navigators is not designed to primarily be a social gathering; it is a training ground to send students into the spiritual battle of life. We want to equip our students well so that they "may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm" (Eph 6:13).

Goals of the SLT:
1. Develop students into mature disciples who raise up more disciplemakers
2. Advance the Gospel at WSU
3. Raise up generations of laborers to send around the world

What You Can Expect:
1. To be challenged and stretched in your faith
2. Intentional training and care for knowing Christ, making Him known, and helping others do the same through one-to-one discipleship, weekly disciplemaking team meetings, monthly SLT Family Nights, and other optional training opportunities
3. To give 10 hours or more a week to knowing Christ and making Him known at WSU
4. To have fun and build lifelong friendships!

What We Expect of You:
1. Growth - Set the pace for all students in pursuing Christ, including growth in Faithfulness, Availability, Initiative-taking, Teachability, and a Heart for God and People in your life
2. Fellowship - Model the "one-anothers" of Scripture
3. Ministry - To partner with another SLT member in having a personal disciplemaking ministry involving:
    - Discipleship - Have at least one person you are intentionally investing in and passing on what you are learning to
    - Evangelism - Regularly share the Gospel of Jesus with unbelievers, taking risks and steps of faith to advance the gospel
    - Bible Study - Be willing to lead/co-lead a Bible Study or Investigative Bible Discussion
4. Fulfill your specific role on SLT to the best of your ability
5. Holiness - To pursue purity in all areas of life, bringing sin struggles into the light to receive help
6. Attend weekly Disciplemaking Team meetings, monthly SLT meetings on Sunday evenings, and the following special events except under certain circumstances:
     - SLT Retreat: August 15-16
     - Engage Conference: TBD
7. Believe, adhere to, and teach according to the Navigators Statement of Faith (http://www.navigators.org/About-Us/Statement%20of%20Faith)

Below are some questions we would like you to answer. These are not to evaluate your "worthiness" for SLT, but to open a conversation so we can better know you and help you grow and serve at WSU next year. After you have completed the application, a staff member will contact you to set up an interview to discuss what it might look like for you to be involved with the SLT next year.

If you have any questions, contact John Anderson (john.anderson@navigators.org).
