Dear Community,

As Reform Jews who strive to live by the values of asot mishpat (enacting justice) and ahavat hesed (loving mercy), we have come together to call on our movement to engage in solidarity with Palestine; to resist, and to repair. Together we stand in these values to call for a ceasefirethe release of hostages, and an end to US military aid to Israel.

As Jewish people with an understanding of justice and a history of being persecuted, we remain motivated by humanity, dignity, solidarity & collective liberation. We envision a Reform Jewish movement that stands against hatred and violence, that actively centers the voices and narratives of Palestinians, rejects a conflation of anti-Zionism with antisemitism, builds relationships with broader coalitions for justice, and integrates historical narratives acknowledging injustices and seeking just solutions.

We recognize the difficulties associated with these requests. A lack of awareness from our movement cannot keep us silent or isolated. We are not alone, and we will continue to know that our safety is only conditional on the liberation of all peoples.
