Please note that 'Service' for NHS is defined as voluntary work that serves as a contribution to the school or community and for which the candidate or member receives no monetary or other direct benefit.  Excluded activities might include activities for which a student earned grades or credit, fundraising for a group in which the student participates, or any service completed during the school day.
