RSVP to a Tomorrow Movement Campaign Strategy Retreat Next January 27th - 31st. This will be a 4-day (4 night) retreat for leaders & committed movement members, old and new, to skill up and plan campaigns for 2023. Strategy is a skill for everyone - no prior knowledge needed. We'll likely be arriving from 5pm on Jan 27th & leaving by 5pm Jan 31st. Jan 27 is a travel day so we can start nice & early on the 28th and share dinner & welcome folks on the 27th.
In 2022 we achieved so much! So many people joined our movement and stepped up into leadership. We want to make sure we're equipped with all the skills to build and run local teams, organise strategic actions and recruit and grow our movement. This retreat will be an opportunity to own Tomorrow Movement strategy in our local groups and spend time developing campaigns for the year ahead.
We'll be covering:
- Strategy Skills: Momentum Theory, Theory of change, powermapping, community mapping, critical path & timelining
- Organising skills; relational meetings, recruitment, coaching, community listening, solidarity & justice, MP meetings, Climate Jobs Guarantee conversations & more!
This EOI form is to indicate your interest and intention to attend the retreat - this means committing to keeping the dates free and travelling. We'd also like you to think about your intention and ability to commit to organising with Tomorrow Movement for the rest of 2023. Brand new folks are welcome to attend the retreat, but we ask that everyone:
1. Commit to organising at Tomorrow Movement, particularly in your local team for all of 2023,
2. Contribute to movement wide conversations including you or someone from your local team regularly attend Leaders Huddle (fornitghtly zoom).
3. Attend and help organise key national moments such as Convergence 2023.
Places for training are limited, and we want to make sure the right mix of people in a variety of places in our movement get to attend, so depending on interest we might not have a spot for everyone. However with that being said, we want to make sure that as many people possible get the opportunity to learn and share skills across our movement, and encourage any folks who are keen to step up their leadership to apply!
