Recent societal and political events highlight ongoing challenges with stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination. Some individuals are explicit in their biased beliefs and behaviors, for most people bias operated implicitly, or outside of their awareness and conscious control. Everyone has implicit bias of some kind. Cultural competencies are hampered when individuals do not acknowledge, understand an actively address their implicit biases. Join this workshop that focuses explicitly on the implicit with the goal of increasing knowledge, improving awareness and changing attitudes and behavior.
