Ding, Ding, Dong! Ding, Ding, Dong!
Calling All Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade Parents
Alamo School is pleased to offer Hand Chimes as an after-school enrichment program for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students.
The starting date for Chimes is TBD. This exciting class allows each student to learn to read music and to work in an environment built completely on teamwork. Because of the nature of the instrument, there is an 8 member minimum for each class and a 12 member maximum for each class.
This also means that there must be commitment to the program. Classes are held once a week after school from 2:30-3:30 and regular attendance is a must. Chimes I (first year students) will rehearse on Mondays and Chimes II (continuing or those with musical training) will rehearse on Tuesdays.
100% of our Alamo School Chimes program is paid for by donations to the Ed Fund. We kindly request a
donation of $150 per child, however there is no
required fee for this program. Children may participate regardless of
any donation made by their family.
If you have not done so already, donations can be made here through the Alamo Future Fund site. An Alamo music shirt is
required for all chimes performances. We have a limited supply of used shirts for students to borrow at no cost for the year. To purchase a new shirt, visit the Alamo future fund store at
aes.futurefund.com/store to complete your purchase for a music shirt.
If your child is interested in Hand Chimes, please fill out the information below. Please contact Karla Angle directly at kangle@srvusd.net with any questions.
Please come to the informational parent meeting during Back to School Night on August 17 from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m.
