Franklin County Early Childhood Call to Action

The time to act is NOW!  We are prepared to open the first pilot center in August 2023 and we need your help!

Providing our community with high quality childcare and early learning opportunities enables families to feel confident in returning to work, staying employed, and feeling valued.  Addressing the shortage in childcare options will require support from both the public and private sectors.  Join us in partnering with local school districts, community organizations, and businesses to make the expansion of childcare possible throughout Franklin County.

How can you help?

We are asking for your financial commitment either through an initial commitment towards the planned center in Greencastle, PA or for the expansion of programs throughout Franklin County.

Federal and State Funding

Federal and state funds provide staffing and resources for 5 hours of high-quality care.  We currently have funding for 36 children with the capacity to accept 80 children.  Another path to partnering in this effort would be to subsidize the funding to extend the hours or provide scholarships for additional children to enroll.

5 hours for 1 student is estimated at $10,000 per year.
5 hours of wrap-around services to extend the day is estimated at $5000 per year
