Please open up your book What the Church Believes and Teaches to page 11. Read the title to them and the sentences after it as well. After doing so ask your child if they know the story of Noah. Invite them to tell what they know and assist them if necessary. Next explain to them that after the flood, God asked Noah and hid family to take care of the earth. Just like the man in the Gospel who wanted his servants to use their talents to take care of his business, God wants his servants-us- to take care of his Creation today. Ask your child how they can take care of the earth, water, and air. Along with the plants and animals. As well as God's people. Next invite them to choose one way that they can take care of the earth, and have them draw that in the top box. Finally in the bottom box have them draw one way that they can take care of another person. Try to encourage them to draw something that they can do now and not something that they will do someday.
