Winter & Indoor Winter Games Committee Interest Form
Special Olympics Pennsylvania's (SOPA's) Competition Team is looking for athletes to serve on the Games Organizing Commitee for its Winter Games at Seven Springs Resort and Indoor Winter Games at the York Expo Center and York Ice Arena. 

This opportunity is open to all athletes ages 16+ and athletes may be able to join the committee in person and/or virtually. 

Athletes interested in joining the committee that are competing at the event may join any sub-committee they are interested in. This could include, but is not limited to:
  • Competition
  • Opening Ceremonies
  • Meals
  • Awards
  • Olympic Villiage 
  • And More!
For athletes not competing at the event, SOPA would like the athlete and their support person to assist with athlete evaluations. During the event, they will be interviewing their peers with a survey on a tablet asking a series of multiple choice and open ended questions as it relates to their event experience. After the event, they will have the opportunity to work with the other members of the Evaluations Committee, the SOPA Competition Director leading the event and other athletes, volunteers and staff in addressing different areas of feedback. 

Please note that completion of this form does not guarantee you will serve on a committee. This is to help SOPA know which athletes are interested. You and your support person will then be contacted by the Competition Director leading the event after you have subbmited this interest form.

1. Your local delegation includes you within their 4:1 Ratio.

2. You have arrangements to take you to and from the event whith a SOPA Staff or Class A Volunteer meeting with you upon arrival and staying with you until you leave the event.
