ONGOING COVID-19 POLICY:
Per contract, Lewis & Clark requires that all persons visiting or employed on campus are required to be up-to-date (as defined by the CDC) with their COVID vaccinations- this includes boosters as applicable. This policy applies to all participants attending JamBallah NW.

General audience masking policy will be decided closer to the event. However, masks will not be required when performing onstage. If masks remain optional in campus buildings, JamBallah will have a separated respiratory-mask-required seating area in this large hall, for the safety of those in our community who are vulnerable.

What style or influence best describes the style you intend to perform at Jamballah NW? *
Please take a few words to describe. (raqs sharqi, theatrical fusion, AmCab, structured group improv, folkloric: <origin>, etc). Please note: JamBallah NW recognizes the terms 'tribal' and 'g*psy' as inappropriate terms unless used by people of origin (members of literal tribes or Roma/Sinti culture.)
Links to performance clips. (optional)
If you have dance videos available to view, please include links here. Lack of video will not disqualify your application. Videos don't need to be polished or from a full performance; low-res living room video clips are just fine. We would just like to get an idea of your style and strengths for show placement.
Festival Policies Agreement *
Performers must strictly adhere to the JamBallah NW Performer Policies and due dates (listed in the Performer Info Emails and on the Performer Info Page.)

Music and themes used in performance at these all-ages shows must be 'family friendly' i.e. mostly free of expletives and entirely free of reference to violent or illegal activities, explicit sex, racial or any type of slur, any of the 'isms' or 'phobias', (racism, sexism, transphobia, etc) and any other extremely disturbing or controversial material.
  • Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis. With proper contextualization for the audience, certain extreme material may be approved.

  • Feel free to push the envelope in topics and audience comfort, but don't be an edgelord and always check with me first. I am happy to discuss!
