Rootstock Performer Application
Grassroots Festival of Music & Dance & New Roots Charter School are proud to co-produce the fourth year of Rootstock, the Finger Lakes’ only YOUTH music & arts festival. This one-day community celebration will take place on Saturday, May 18th 2024, at the Bernie Milton Pavilion, with musical groups performing throughout the day. Rootstock is committed to empowering the next generation of artists in the Finger Lakes.

We are excited about your interest in performing at Rootstock! Each performance slot will be a maximum of 20-minutes. A committee made up of community members invested in youth music will review all submissions and determine accepted performers.

The deadline for this application is **April 17th**.

Performers will be accepted or denied based on the following key criteria:
---Ensuring that your group is age-appropriate
---Tastefulness of lyrics & message* (please submit radio-edit versions of songs if you have them)
---Evidence of performance preparation
---Following all deadlines
---Submission of live performance video/recording for committee review

The quality of the video does not impact your chances of being selected. If you are unable to submit a video, your application will not be considered for Rootstock.
