WE LOVE SHORT VIDEOS: Call for Proposals
The U.S. Department of State and One Minute Academy partner around the world to provide a series of intensive, five-day virtual workshops to help people to tell their stories through engaging and informative One Minute videos. Participants will learn from One Minute Academy's media educators and network with professional peers. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will receive One Minute Academy's proficiency certificate.

Specifically, the workshop addresses the following questions.

THEORY: How can we use photos and video to engage an audience?
PRE-PRODUCTION: How do we set up and plan a one minute video production?
PRODUCTION: How do we use a smartphone or camera like a professional?
POST-PRODUCTION: How do we organize media files and edit a video on professional software in one day?
TRAIN-THE-TRAINERS: How do we teach other people to make videos after the course is over?

Program partners will be selected based on responses to this survey. More detailed responses will accordingly be more competitive. Feel free to share the link to this survey if you have a colleague who may be interested in participating.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The workshop is open to journalists, activists, media professionals, local leaders and others who tell truthful and valuable stories about their communities.

• Participants will have to attend all five days of the virtual workshop (two to three hours each day).

• Participants must have a laptop with an up-to-date operating system, a smartphone or camera with full battery, charger and cable to connect the device to a computer, and headphones.
