New Hanover County Schools is proposing a calendar for the district that would allow students to complete the first semester by December 18th and the school year by the Memorial Day Holiday. Benefits to the calendar are alignment with the community college calendar which makes it easier for high school students to take college courses, while negatives would be the impact to summer employment during the month of August. New Hanover County Schools is interested in your feedback.
