CD Budget Hearing, Awareness Day, and Meet & Greet
Tuesday, January 24th:  CD Awareness Day in the Capitol Rotunda & Legislative Meet and Greet. Conservation Districts have a planned Rotunda Day at the Capitol. That evening, Conservation Districts will have a Legislative Meet and Greet at the Montana Club from 5-9pm.

Wednesday, January 25th: Testimony on CD Account Budget. The Conservation District Budget will be in front of the Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee (Section C) starting at 9am (time subject to change). This will be an opportunity for Conservation Districts to provide brief testimony in front of the committee. MACD will be coordinating with Conservation Districts as well as Committee leadership and staff to organize testimony. 
Additionally, the morning of the 25th, MACD will have donuts and coffee at our office near the Capitol starting at 7am (subject to change). This will be an opportunity for folks to get together before the hearing. 

MACD has reserved a room block at Ramada in Helena under MACD [ 1714 11th Ave, Helena, MT 59601. (406) 442-1770). The block is under 'MACD' and is at a cost of $86/night.

MACD has a Legislative Fund to help cover travel costs to testify in Helena. Please contact rebecca@macdnet.org with 'Legislative Travel Fund' in the subject if you would like to attend and your district needs assistance covering travel costs. Funds will be based on need and first come first serve. Partial funding be offered depending on number of requests.
