Thank you for your interest in being a part of the 2023 Queer & Funny Improv Festival.
The workshop cost allows us to pay our world-class teachers for their time and labor spent toward crafting and facilitating each session. While we try to set a price with accessibility in mind, we know that not everyone has the ability to pay it in full. Thus, with financial help from other workshop participants, we are happy to offer scholarship opportunities for the workshops.
As fitting our mission, we are most interested in increasing access to people who are traditionally marginalized, even within the queer community, and those who are newer to the artform of improv theater. Since scholarship spots are limited, we want to make sure that we are able to prioritize people that fit those criteria. That is the reason for this application.
We will review the first applications for the scholarships and let you know your status by November 6th.
Regardless of the decision around your scholarship, we hope to have you participate in the festival in a way that works for you. The community discussion and jam are completely free. We are also planning on offering Pay What You Like rush tickets for the performances.
