Vaudeville Stages: Stage Left, DuCaniveaux Vaudeville Palace, W.C. Fields Memorial Stage

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Oregon Country Fair's Vaudeville stages. The dates for the upcoming year's Fair are July 7th, 8th and 9th, 2023.

The Oregon Country Fair (OCF) is a non-profit, grass-roots effort organization that holds annual gatherings in the forest of Veneta, Oregon. The OCF thrives through community support and the dedication of thousands of volunteers whose commitment made it possible to purchase our land, ensuring future fairs at the traditional site. It is a true example of life's abundance; experiences that nourish the soul, liven the spirit, and is an exceptional example of community working on living sustainably and reducing our carbon footprint on the earth. We are excited you want to be a part of it too!

IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFORMATION

Vaudeville acts consist of variety shows combining such entertainment as theatrical performances, juggling, pantomime, burlesque comedy, dialogue, dancing, and song. Aerial acts are performed on WC Fields Stage ONLY due to the truss system being in place and professional riggers assigned to the stage. Stage times are scheduled at 60 minute windows, which includes set up and take down time. This makes performance times approximately 45 minutes long.

Due to the organic element of the OCF, it has been a long-standing tradition to create pieces with live music as an integral part of the overall show. Live music is most preferred on the Vaudeville stages, and any use of pre-recorded music must be approved by the Vaudeville Coordinators ahead of time.

Volunteerism is a core value of OCF, and the concept is reflected in the payment we can offer and your desire to participate. We do not pay travel, housing, or other expenses for your appearance. Most entertainers attend because of our reputation, and to share the stages amidst other amazing performers from far and wide! The OCF draws responses from all over the U.S., and as a result, has many more applicants than positions available.

We are looking for currently touring professional or semi-professional vaudeville acts. You must submit promotional material so we know what your act is! Do not send links to social media as we will not subscribe to these. Applications sent without promotional material will automatically be declined.  All submissions become property of the OCF.

Acts that only consist of music or dance will need to apply to other stages in the Fair.

Do not list children 10 yrs old and under as they do not require wristbands.

The deadline for application submission is February 15th. We consider all applications, all applicants will be notified of their application within the month after. Please do not call the OCF office to confirm receipt of your application. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

No dogs, video cameras or public camping allowed!
