Cherry Orchard Invasive Work Days
Friends of Rouge Park is partnering with Greening of Detroit to 100 trees (including a cherry orchard!!). This is the first in our edible trails planning for Rouge Park.

In preparation for that tree planting, we will be removing invasive species around the future tree planting! We primarily be focused on removing invasive honey suckle and buckthorn shrubs. This is physical work: using tool to remove, chop up, haul and stack these invasive shrubs.

Check out these videos if you'd like to study the plants before coming!
