The global population is growing with corresponding food demand. UN projects that the world population will reach 9.5 billion by 2050 and current food production will have to be upscaled by 70% if we are to avoid an impending food crisis. This needs to happen in the presence of the numerous challenges we are faced with such as increasing land degradation, climate change, and water scarcity.  

Hydroponics has been dubbed the future of farming, it can produce a higher yield with less nutrient, water, energy, and labor. Hence, it is a more efficient means of food production. The good news is you can do this in the comfort of your home and have full control over your farm.
