I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support of all players, coaches and officials at every game, practice or other youth sports events.
I will place the emotional and physical well-being and safety of my team above all other considerations.
I will teach my team the appropriate way to respond to success and adversity.
I will treat players, parents, other coaches, officials, and spectators with respect regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.
I will ensure an environment that fosters learning, sportsmanship, and teamwork at all practices, games and other events.
I will refrain from using profanity at any games, practices or any other events.
I will refrain from using or being under the influence of drugs, tobacco, or alcohol while attending games, practices or any other events.
I will practice positive reinforcement at all times with my team, and will reward them for their accomplishments.
I will always speak to game officials with respect at all times, on and off of the field.
I will read and understand all rules of Decatur Fastpitch and USSSA.
I will keep an open line of communication between myself and other coaches, parents, board members and officials.
I will set a level of commitment that I will encourage my team to follow.
I will ALWAYS remember that the game is for YOUTH, not for adults.
I will support the Decatur Fastpitch board and abide by all policies and decisions made by them.
By signing this Coaches Code of Conduct, I understand that I must abide by all of the rules given. I also understand that by following the Coaches Code of Conduct that I can help make youth sports a better place for everyone involved.
I agree that by not fulfilling any portion of my Coaching Responsibilities as outlined, I may forfeit my right to coach this year and in future years.
