To be clear, this is a soup style chili cook-off. Not a red/green chili topping cook-off!

Chili may contain whatever ingredients you desire EXCEPT GLUTEN. Please no flour or other gluten products. Canned beans are fine. Store-bought chili mixes are not.

Chili may be labeled as vegetarian if it contains no meat products or by-products (such as beef/chicken broth). If your chili is vegetarian or dairy-free please let us know at check-in so we can label it as such.

Prepare and cook your chili in as sanitary a manner as possible. If you prepare your chili in advance, reheat in a stove or microwave to reach 165 degrees before transitioning to a clean crock pot and promptly bringing it to Fuller Lodge by 3:30pm.

We are expecting around 80-100 people with 4 oz sample cups. Please bring TWO 5-6 quart crock pots of chili (we may be able to provide a crock pot), a ladle, and an extension cable and power strip if you have them.

The two main categories are ‘People’s Choice’ and ‘Jury’s Choice’. Specified judges will serve on a panel and judge the chili on a 1-10 scale, not by comparing between chilis. Winners of the two main categories will receive a locally made soup bowl, and recognition blasted on social media and the press. Other category winners will receive ribbons.

The registration fee of $50 will get you entrance to the event ($40), cover the costs of supplies, and sample cups to try others, but you won’t get to vote. Upon filling out this form a link to payment will be sent or can be paid HERE.
