Undergraduate Research Assistant Application
Research assistant requirements for Social Skills Assessment, Intervention, and Learning Lab (SSAIL Lab):
• One year commitment
• Attend weekly meetings (Monday 8:30am – 10:30am)
• Must be enrolled as students throughout the year (excluding summer term)
• On time
• Ask questions when you are not sure
• Maintain a professional courteous demeanor with others in the lab, clients, and parents
• Minimum commitment of 8 hours a week (does not include lab meeting)
As a research assistant, you will receive the following experience:
• Read assigned research papers and conduct literature reviews
• Collect data on participants social behaviors and researcher’s integrity
• Graph and analyze data
• Contribute to all aspects of current research projects
• Work collectively with graduate students
• Exposure to behavior analytic research and interventions for social skills for individuals with a variety of diagnoses
• Exposure to single-subject experimental designs
• Opportunities to conduct sessions with participants
• Opportunities to present at conferences
