FORM CLOSED Bronxville NPC Application to be Placed on the Ballot for Election as a Member of the Non-Partisan Committee (due 5/30)

JUNE 6TH ELECTION:  The NPC conducts an online election in June, which is currently scheduled for June 6th.  Members serve a three-year term commencing on the July 1st following the election.

WHAT WE DO:  The primary duty of the Committee is to ensure that qualified candidates run for election as Trustees of the Bronxville School district, without regard to partisan affiliation.  The Committee meets (typically on Tuesday evenings), several times in the Fall, and more regularly during the first and second quarters of each calendar year to identify and interview potential candidates for nomination, as Trustees as well as to identify and nominate potential members of the Committee.

Membership entails attendance at meetings, familiarity with the NPC Plan and Rules (on our website), as well as familiarity with the business of the Board of Education.  Each member must sign a confidentiality agreement which covers the trustee application and interview process, and voting and deliberation.  Each member serves on one or more subcommittees of the NPC to help carry out the NPC functions and communicate to the community.  Visit our website to learn more about us at https://www.bronxvillenpc.org/about_us, and to review our Plan and Rules, and this past year’s meeting schedule on our website.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To qualify as a member of the Non-Partisan Committee, you must be at least 18 years old and have been a resident of the Bronxville School District for at least one year before beginning your term.  A Committee member may not be an elected official of the Village of Bronxville or an officer of a political party or seeking election to a Village of Bronxville office or to an office in a political party.

DISTRICT VACANCIES:  Bronxville has seven “sub-districts” labeled Districts 16-22.  To confirm your District, please see the District Map at https://www.bronxvillenpc.org/district-map or email us to confirm based on your address.  The NPC will always have at least one vacancy per district per year.  In some years, members who are serving out the partial term of a prior member, are eligible to serve a full term by running for reelection.  That is the case in three districts this year.  In addition, District 17 has two vacancies due to a member moving districts.
