The Church Council of Greater Seattle (CCGS) King County Community Hotline is a powerful tool that allows our immigrant communities to request accompaniment when navigating the Justice and Immigration System.
The CCGS Accompaniment Team supports the Hotline Operators and Network Partners so that through accompaniment, we seek to provide moments of relief that there is a community here to alleviate the burden of navigating fearsome and unknown systems alone by acting as a support system and serving as a community.
Accompaniment Volunteers will be equipped with the skills, training, and knowledge on the basics of immigration and criminal law in order to bear witness to the injustice and the dehumanization of the U.S. immigration and criminal justice system firsthand. Additionally, through accompaniment, volunteers will aim to hold these systems accountable to fight for the dignity, respect, and safety of our community.
CCGS is inviting all new and current accompaniment volunteers to sign up for additional training opportunities as they are interested. We encourage you to continue your learning by participating in a training. You can then determine after the training if you are interested in being on the "volunteer list" for that particular type of accompaniment. We are also seeking a team of lead volunteer trainers to help offer trainings.
The 2 training areas of focus are:
1. State Court (non-immigration court) The term, ‘State Court’ extends to any and all business that is conducted in a courthouse.
2. USCIS appointments
Once you fill out the form, we will contact you about an orientation and training! We are excited to welcome you to our team! Any questions, please feel free to reach out to the Accompaniment Team at
