This survey is intended to help NRCS prioritize which resource concerns their program funding should prioritize and address.

Resources are grouped into seven broad categories: 1. soil 2. water 3. air 4. plants 5. animals 6. energy
7. humans.

Concerns include issues that have a negative effect on these resources. Treating resource concerns is done through installing conservation practices. These practices, such as irrigation systems (water), livestock water systems (animals, plants, water), cover crops (soil), and engine replacement (air), help to improve your agricultural operation as well as conserve and improve resources at the same time.
