Paid Training Opportunity
We are looking for adventurous crew members ages 18 to 24 to join our youth conservation corps in North Florida, our crews are based out of Franklin, Bay, Escambia, Santa Rosa, Walton, and Liberty counties. PLEASE NOTE: These positions are focused on "Opportunity Youth" who live locally (within an hours drive to the field project sites. THIS IS NOT A TRADITIONAL JOB, it's a PAID training opportunity to earn industry certifications in Coastal Restoration or Forest Management putting you on the path towards a career. You will get a weekly living allowance of $500 per week and an AmeriCorps Education award based on your term of service! The terms begin at 300 hours up to 1200, second terms are possible. Work with our partnering public land managers at the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve, St. Joseph State Buffer Preserve, Florida State Parks, Florida Forest Service, Blackwater State Forest, Apalachicola National Forest, Northwest Florida Water Management District, Florida Trail Association and many county and city governments. Requirements:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 24 to be eligible
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
