Dear Vogel Texans,

Throughout the year different organizations come to Vogel wanting to assist our students and families with school supplies, clothing, and other personal items and resources.  Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which protects the privacy of students' educational records, we are prohibited from releasing any student information to these agencies without your permission.  The Program that we collaborate with vary from year to year to assist our students in some capacity.  By giving us permission to submit your information to these programs, it does not automatically mean you will receive assistance.  Most programs are limited and are based on the resources available.

In addition to providing you with resources that might benefit your child and/or family, it also assists us greatly with knowing the needs of our campus.  As we prepare to offer counseling and parenting resources, we would like to know of students and families’ needs.  If there is a topic that you feel your child or family would benefit from, please place a check next to that topic.  If there is an interest that you do not see, please feel free to add it and we will look into providing that group as it becomes available.

Your information will only be used for the purpose of the assistance program(s).  The form needs to be returned to the Vogel Counselors - Megan Rekart (6th grade) or Dani Jolivette (5th grade).  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s counselor at 832-663-4300.

Queridos Vogel Texans,

Durante el año diferentes organizaciones vienen a Vogel queriendo ayudar a nuestros estudiantes y sus familias con útiles escolares, ropa y otros recursos.  Bajo el acto de derechos de privacidad de las familias y la educación (FERPA), que protege el derecho a la privacidad de las familias y los estudiantes, se nos prohíbe proporcionar información sobre los estudiantes y sus familias sin su autorización.  El darnos permiso de proporcionar su información a los programas de asistencia, no significa que automáticamente recibirán ayuda ya que están limitados por la cantidad de recursos que tienen disponibles.

Además de darnos la posibilidad de ayudar a nuestros estudiantes y sus familias, nos ayuda a entender las necesidades de nuestros alumnos y a prepararnos mejor para ofrecer programas de consejería y recursos para ser mejores padres.   Si hay algún tópico que usted sienta que pueda beneficiar a su hijo o a su familia, por favor ponga una palomita en el espacio indicado.  Si hay algún tema que le interese pero que no está en la lista de abajo, háganoslo saber e investigaremos las opciones.

Su información será utilizada solamente con el propósito de asistir a su familia.  La forma debe ser enviada a las consejeras de Vogel - Megan Rekart (6th grado) o Dani Jolivette (5th grado).  Si tiene preguntas no dude en llamar a la consejera de su hijo al 832-663-4300.
