2021 Olathe Marching Invitational Registration Saturday, October 9, 2021

Dear Band Director,

We would like to invite you and your students to perform in the 2nd Annual Olathe Marching Invitational.  Please complete and submit this form to register for the 2021 Olathe Marching Invitational to be held at the Olathe District Schools College Boulevard Activities Complex.

Once we have confirmed your registration, we will send you an invoice to pay the fees.  A confirmation letter will be mailed/emailed to all registered schools as soon as our performance list is compiled.

Registration Fee:
$350.00 Registration for BOTH shows.  Pro-Rated Fee TBD for split format.
Early-Bird Registration:  $325.00 before May 14th

Event Timing:
The Invitational begins in the late morning or early afternoon based on the number of groups participating.

Adjudication:
A 6 judge panel will be utilized, with a potential of 8 judge panel depending on participation.
Music Ensemble, Music Effect, and Music Individual
Visual Ensemble, Visual Effect, and Visual Individual
Ensemble and Effect Adjudicators will observe from the press box.  Individual Adjudicators will be at field level.
Percussion & Colorguard/Auxiliary adjudicators may do a combination of field level and press box level.
Verbal and written comments will be available the day of the festival and recorded comments will be available via a cloud-based sharing format.

Band Classification:
Based on Band Size (3 or 4 classifications based on number of participating groups).

Weather:
Field marching competition may be suspended at any time for unsafe weather conditions.  We will keep you informed at all times.  All fees paid will not be refunded due to festival expenses.

Field Show Time Limit:  
15 minutes (including entrance and exit)

Exhibition Bands:
The host schools (Olathe North HS & Olathe South HS) will perform in exhibition during score
tabulation at the end of the afternoon and evening performances.

Format:
TBD, Probably Prelims by Class & Finals by Open Class, or choice of morning or evening show.

Registration Deadline:
All entry forms and fees need to be postmarked by September 1, 2021.  Please e-mail contest organizers directly if the deadline date is past and you are looking for a festival for your band to showcase their talents.

Awards:  (tentative)
Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will be awarded in each class.

High General Effect
High Visual
High Field Percussion  (dependent on panel)
High Field Auxiliary  (dependent on panel)
Outstanding Soloist

Concessions:
Concessions will be on sale in the stadium concession stand. We encourage you and your students to support our concessions. Concession proceeds will help to keep our festival an annual and successful event for us all.
