What should be the basis of a new process of understanding in Venezuela? Is It possible to build a common language for shared values? What does 'social pact' mean? Should we look to historical experiences or contemporary successes among different sectors of society to inspire the construction of a new social pact? What is the role of citizens in this process? In the fifth virtual meeting of Venezuela Conversa, “The Construction of a new social pact,” sociologist Verónica Zubillaga (PhD UCLouvain), historian Alejandro Velasco (PhD Duke), and Maryhen Jiménez (PhD Oxford) exchange their thoughts on these important national questions.
